Legislature & Tax Breaks for Wealthy

The supporters keep assuring us that if we don't give these breaks out (please, don't call it welfare for the rich) that these people will leave & go to Florida for their more generous tax breaks.
Yes, I've known members of my own family who moved to Florida. No, of course it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the weather. Why would any of our more senior citizens EVER do such a thing? Cold, damp, wind,& ice are GOOD things, right?
BTW, you don't hear about it too often. Fla. has "snowbird" property taxes. People who own second homes there are allowed to be given a different tax rate. Some are two to three times higher than a resident's taxes. Interesting concept.
