Trees for Middletown

I was disappointed when Newport didn't run its annual buy a tree at darn good prices this year. Last year I purchased two of their specimen trees and I do believe, they still live!

The Middletown Tree Commission is offering a credit of up to $50 when you purchase a tree at: Broulevard Nurseries, Chaves Gardens, and Moore Blooms. Right now there is no way to actually participate in the program without a phone call to Commission members Paul LaMond or Art Benner. 846-7521 and 846-9718. The program actually launches May 17 with supplies limited & only one to a family.

Thanks to reporter Matt Sheley of the NDN for the report.
