New LNG Tanker Proposal

If at first you don't succeed...

This from Save the Bay:
Action Alert: Weaver's Cove LNG developers attempt to revive plan Weaver’s Cove
LNG has a new proposal for an “Offshore Berth” near Spar Island in Mount Hope
Bay to dock LNG tankers and for a gas pipeline beneath the Bay to a storage facility in Fall River. This proposal will require extensive new dredging and the project’s footprint will permanently destroy critical fish habitat and render much of the Bay off-limits to the public.

Public meetings:
Tuesday, June 24 - 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Mount Hope High School Auditorium, 199 Chestnut Street, Bristol, RI 02809
Wednesday, June 25 - 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Venus De Milo Restaurant, 75 Grand Army of the Republic Hwy (Route 6), Swansea, MA 02777

Spar Island is off the coast near Bristol & Tiverton waters. It is almost in Mass. near Fall River.

Thanks to my eagle-eyed correspondent for the news.
