Middletown Charter Meeting Tues. at 6 at Oliphant

On Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at 6:00 P.M. the Town Council will meet to consider which amendments to the Middletown Charter will be placed on the November ballot. They meet at OLIPHANT SCHOOL.

Amendments proposed and recommended by the Charter Review Commission and under consideration are:

· Non-partisan Council elections
· Town Council term limits
· Town Council election schedules
· Conflict of Interest definition clarification

The meeting will be held at the Middletown School Administration Building, Lower Level, Oliphant Lane.

Please attend and make your voice heard!

Surely if Middletown voters can decide on a U.S. president, the expansion of gambling, and local Councilors; they can decide on the Charter changes for their own government.
