Tiverton Town Workers Play Santa

This is another story out of Tiverton. Nancy Mello, Tiverton Chief Clerk, helped start a fund which gives out Xmas gifts to those in need (link in title).

"She can’t even count how many gifts were purchased and wrapped and delivered last week to families in town, because of the generosity of Town Hall workers, town department managers and customers of Sydney’s Salon in Portsmouth and the Red Parrot in Newport. "

Nancy is also the chief force behind the Town Hall program of "Voting Day for Fourth Graders." Hats off to Nancy (and all her elves), a real doer!

Thanks to "Daily News" reporter Marcia Pobzeznik for the funding story.
