Middletown Municipal Salaries
Projo's Meaghan Wims has the skinny on the highest governmenta pays. The School Sup't tops the list, followed by others admins (mostly). The municipal side is also documented.

It is such a shame the school admin side is extremely highly paid but our schools are decreasing in enrollment and grades. In these tough budget times, it makes best sense to retire the long term overly paid admin staff and restructure depts.
Tonight, May 20th is the 1st public budget meeting at Middletown Town Hall. It is extremely important for taxpayers to attend. Without your attendance, you, the taxpayer is telling the council it's ok to spend, spend & spend and not be held accountable. Want the full disclosure of all the budget items, go to the library or town hall and ask for the same blue binders the council members were given the same night Mr. Viveiros complained about such budget being listed on the consent calendar.
To the former: can't argue with that thought! We need some actual campaigning & discussion for school committee candidates. Without parties playing a major role in these elections any longer & actively recruiting candidates, there is no active dialogue, let alone debate. I've only heard one new name mentioned for school committee. What about you?
To the later writer, thanks for the info. I've made it to one hearing so far. It is important for people to take an interest! Otherwise, we get what we deserve. Look at my 2 quotes at the bottom of the blog!
Thanks to you both for your thoughts.
