First Night Newport & Polar Bear Swim

Here is the link for First Night. It's fun. It's over by 9. It finishes with a noisey parade & harbor fireworks. You take a trolley/bus from venue to venue. Just taking the ride around the city at night is fun, too. It's also cheap- $10. You can even visit the Newport Artillery Museum- how many of you have ever been there?

So buy your button already. It's fun. Beats Dick Clark. Hey, I spent one New Year's in Times' Square. Wild. Crazy, man, far out! (it was 1971- a different world). Hey, I've lived! You can purchase online or at various places.

On Jan 1. don't forget the Polar Bear swim at First Beach. It's high noon. Donated monies this year are for "A Wish Come True." Go early - parking gets tight in good weather.
Party afterwards next door at the Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown. Food, donations, music, etc. All ages for any of these activities. Aquidneck Island rocks! Both are kid friendly! I wouldn't steer you wrong.
