Sally the Tortoise Found!

Sally is missing from her home at St. George's. Russian tortoises are 6-10 in. Evidently they aestivate (?hibernate) in hot weather. This tortoise prefers dry open landscapes. It is most commonly found in sand and clay deserts with sparse grasses and bushes. Russian tortoises are rarely found in dense grassy areas or cultivated fields. Sally is going to have a heck of time finding an area like this unless she heads toward the beach. So keep your eyes open for her. It's going to be hard to find her as St. George's is surrounded by fields. Call St. George's if you locate her. More info in the "Daily News" article, but, of course, you'll have t.
***UPDATE*** Sally's been found! The little devil crawled through all the fields and ended up - at the beach! She managed a road crossing & was located at Second Beach - surfers' end.
