Today in one section the paper had 5 slam articles against Rep. Kennedy & 5 against Sylvia Wedge (Portsmouth school committee chair). And they wonder why more "ordinary" citizens don't run!

It sells papers. Look at the feeding frenzy of even Dems when Kennedy had his "problem" on RIFuture.org.
We can easily create a hypocrisy of expectations that few could ever live up to and don't hold for ourselves.
Leaders are human and the public has the right to expect the truth
