Another article of interest is in The Policy Reporter. I love this guy. His newsletter is factual & easy to understand. He writes on local/state issues. He is even generous enough to make his older editions available online for free. A must read for those interested in state/local government. Buy a subscription. Cheap!

His online site features a short summary/opinion of the Senate's proposed effort to cap state/local budgets. His main criticism is that the plan treats the symptoms but not the problem. Actually, I'm being kind here. He just calls it, "stupid."

The House plan which partly includes lowering taxes on the wealthy just eludes me. Don't tax them & they will come.

Checked out your neighbors' salaries in the Snooze series? I see that a reader agrees with me. Publish everything except the names. I wonder how the "News" staff would like their salaries published for all to see?
